Developing Special Sensors for Specific Purposes

We have designed and developed special sensors for application in field testing projects in which there is no device currently available to carry out the task. For example, we have designed soil pressure sensors which assess the pressure created by the movement of settling or moving soil; in addition, we have set up measuring instruments along the lengths of reinforcing bars utilised in the building industry in order to assess the levels of strain and stress in concrete structures over given periods. In order to ensure the very best results we have, for several projects that we have undertaken, taken away and instrumented certain existing components, before calibrating them under laboratory conditions before re-installing them again prior to field testing.
